Tŷ Cosy (Tŷ rhymes with “tea” and is Welsh for house) is a single-level studio cottage tucked down Glasfryn Lane, a quiet spot right in the heart of St Davids. It’s made for two, and only two, and every corner has been thought about. Here’s a look around.
The living area
The heart of the cottage is the open-plan living space, with a comfy sofa facing the log-burning stove. There’s a Smart TV, Wi-Fi and a stack of board games for lazy evenings. Underfloor heating runs throughout, so it’s warm and cosy whatever the Pembrokeshire weather is doing.
The kitchen
The fully fitted kitchen has everything you need to cook a proper meal: an induction hob, oven, microwave, dishwasher and fridge freezer. There’s a Tassimo coffee machine for your morning brew, a kettle and toaster, and wine glasses for the evening. Eat at the breakfast bar, or take your plates outside to the courtyard on a warm day.
The bedroom area
The sleeping area has a comfortable double bed with room-darkening blinds, so you can sleep in after a long day on the Coast Path. Blinds divide the bedroom from the living space, giving you a little separation in the open-plan studio. Bed linen and towels are provided.
The shower room
The modern shower room has a large power shower and a heated towel rail, plus a hairdryer for after.
The courtyard
Step outside to your own enclosed private courtyard, with seating and a bistro table that’s perfect for evening drinks. There’s also a heated outdoor shower, which is ideal for rinsing off after the beach or a muddy walk.
The practical bits
- Off-road parking for one car
- Washer dryer, iron and ironing board
- A dedicated workspace with Wi-Fi
- Everything on one level
Right in the heart of St Davids
Park the car and walk to the Cathedral, the Coast Path and the city’s pubs, restaurants and shops, all a short stroll from the door. It’s the perfect base for a break for two.
